Tafoni

Marble table and wood wall panel

A white marble table with a carved, hollowed relief on its top, standing in a stone workshop.
Marble table and wood wall panel

Tafoni is carved twice: in marble, as a table, and in wood, as a wall panel.

The same pattern of rounded hollows and raised edges runs through both. The marble table was carved in a stone workshop; the wood panel is 60 cm long and 30 cm wide.
