Data made felt

It started as data: maps of displacement, numbers of casualties, routes of exile. The human cost sat in spreadsheets and maps.

I asked whether data can be felt, and whether numbers can become form.

The answer was a wavy wood panel where every curve carries a number. The displacement data is mapped into organic waves, so the horror is made readable through beauty. The same patterns repeat across regions and histories, so the question is bigger than one country.
